This Return and Refund Policy outlines the terms for cancellations and refunds for sustainable web development services provided by Scyxzleir. As a provider of digital services, we follow fair and transparent practices that protect both our clients and our business while honoring the work completed.

2. Nature of Digital Services

Web development services are intangible digital products involving custom creation, design, and technical implementation. Once development work has commenced, significant time, expertise, and resources have been invested. Unlike physical products, digital services cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense.

3. Consultation and Agreement Phase

Before any work begins, we provide a comprehensive consultation to understand your requirements. You have the opportunity to review our proposal, ask questions, and ensure alignment before entering into a service agreement. No charges apply during this consultation phase, and you may withdraw at any time before signing the service contract.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms depend on the project stage:

Before Work Commences: If you cancel before we begin development work (within 7 days of contract signing and before any work has started), you are entitled to a full refund minus any non-refundable consultation fees or deposits specified in your service agreement.

During Discovery Phase (First 25% of Timeline): If cancellation occurs during the initial discovery and planning phase, you will be charged for time and resources invested, typically 25-35% of the total project fee, plus any third-party costs already incurred (domain registration, hosting setup, etc.).

During Active Development (25-75% of Timeline): Cancellation during active design and development will result in charges for all work completed to date, calculated based on project milestones achieved. You will receive all completed work deliverables. Typically, 50-75% of the project fee applies.

Final Stages (75-100% of Timeline): Projects in final testing and deployment phases are subject to full payment, as substantial work has been completed. You will receive all deliverables upon payment.

5. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered in these circumstances:

  • Non-Delivery: If we fail to deliver agreed services within reasonable timeframes without valid cause
  • Fundamental Breach: If we fundamentally fail to meet agreed specifications outlined in the service contract
  • Technical Failure: If the delivered website has critical technical failures that cannot be resolved within a reasonable correction period

Refunds are not available for:

  • Change of mind or business direction after work has commenced
  • Subjective design preferences not communicated during approval stages
  • Client-side delays causing project timeline extensions
  • Services already rendered and delivered according to specifications
  • Third-party costs (hosting, domains, licenses) already purchased

6. Refund Request Process

To request a refund or cancellation:

  1. Submit a written request via email to info@scyxzleir.world stating your reasons
  2. We will review your request within 5 business days
  3. If eligible, we will provide a detailed breakdown of work completed and refund calculation
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to your original payment method
  5. You will receive confirmation once the refund has been issued

7. Project Scope Changes

Changes to project scope during development do not qualify as grounds for refund but may affect timeline and cost. We will provide revised quotes for significant scope changes. Minor adjustments within the original scope are typically accommodated without additional charges.

8. Satisfaction Guarantee

We are committed to your satisfaction. During the development process, you have multiple review and approval stages. We will make reasonable revisions to ensure deliverables match agreed specifications. Our revision policy is outlined in your service agreement and typically includes 2-3 rounds of revisions per project phase.

9. Post-Launch Support

All web development services include a post-launch support period (typically 30 days) for bug fixes and technical issues arising from our work. This support does not cover new feature requests, content changes, or issues caused by client modifications. Extended support packages are available separately.

10. Payment Terms and Schedules

Our standard payment structure:

  • Essential Presence (€1,250): 50% deposit, 50% upon completion
  • Professional Growth (€2,850): 30% deposit, 40% at midpoint milestone, 30% upon completion
  • Enterprise Excellence (€5,500): 25% deposit, 25% after discovery, 25% at development midpoint, 25% upon completion

Deposits are non-refundable once work commences but are credited toward project completion.

11. Intellectual Property and Work Product

Upon full payment, all intellectual property rights for custom-developed website components transfer to you. Until final payment, Scyxzleir retains ownership of all work products. In case of cancellation with partial payment, you receive rights only to completed and paid-for deliverables.

12. Third-Party Services and Products

Third-party services (hosting, domain registration, premium plugins, stock images) purchased on your behalf are subject to their respective provider's refund policies. These costs are typically non-refundable and billed separately or itemized in your invoice.

13. Dispute Resolution

We believe in resolving issues through open communication. If you're unsatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us immediately. We commit to working collaboratively toward a fair resolution. If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

14. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, internet service disruptions, or public health emergencies. In such cases, timelines will be extended reasonably without penalty.

15. Changes to This Policy

This Return and Refund Policy may be updated periodically. Changes apply to new contracts signed after the update date. Existing contracts are governed by the policy version in effect at contract signing. We will notify existing clients of significant policy changes.

16. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from cancellations or refunds shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Irish courts.
